The soles of the feet have thousands of nerve endings that supply sensory
feedback to the central nervous system, and there are more nerve endings per
square inch of each foot than anywhere else in the body

Frequently Asked Questions
What does Reflexology do?
Reflexology, a non-invasive therapy that involves the application of pressure to stimulate our proprioceptors, induces action potentials that travel along the axons of sensory neurons so they can release neurotransmitters to motor neurons in the spinal cord and
brain and interneurons in the central nervous system. This physiological transportation
and delivery process allows the unimpeded flow of electrochemical energy to occur
throughout the body so that our muscles, glands and organs can be nourished, and our
innate and adaptive immune systems can be collaboratively stimulated to achieve physical wellness and homeostasis. ~Karen Hauserman
How is Reflexology Beneficial?
Reflexology promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, increases blood circulation
and lymph flow, improves nerve function, removes toxins, relieves pain, enhances mood
and morale, and helps to balance our energy and ground us. It also helps relieve symptoms
from diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, thyroid disorders, fibromyalgia, migraines, plantar
fasciitis, sciatica, allergies, cancer, and more. Reflexology is both an art and a science that when combined with sound nutrition, a natural lifestyle, mindfulness and physical activity
provides a comprehensive, holistic healing health plan.
